"Narva Venice" / "Narva Veneetsia" - in development

In the summer paradise of "Narva Venice," on the border of Russia, local traditions clash with the contemporary creations of international artists. A contemporary Estonian artist has been selected for the Narva Venice art residency, where they have two weeks to create an artwork. This piece must be made in collaboration with the locals, who spend their days visiting the sauna, fishing, and hosting barbecues. The community is quite closed, and, along with cultural differences, a language barrier separates the artists from the locals. Can these two such different communities find harmony and, in the process, learn something from each other?
